Technologies and innovations of autumn 2021
⇨ Today we can charge our devices only through a cable or by placing them on a special surface. In fact, what we call wireless charging differs little from the usual way to charge a gadget. But, soon, we may get technology to increase the charge level of devices, with which it will be possible to charge gadgets, despite physical obstacles, at a distance of several meters. The innovation was developed by the Chinese company Xiaomi.
⇨ Japanese developers was created a bike that can move through the air. A motorcycle from the ALI Technologies company can pick up speed up to 100 kilometers per hour. The flyer is powered by an internal combustion engine and two propellers. The developers of the bike foreshadow its use in various spheres of human activity, including declaring that it can be useful in emergency situations.
⇨ In the United States, scientists have created an artificial kidney that is capable of repeating the functions of a living organ. This breakthrough will enable dialysis patients as well as those on the organ donor queue to live fuller and more active lives. Researchers have conducted all the necessary clinical trials that confirm the functionality of the artificial organ. According to scientists, this invention can perform the basic functions of the kidneys: to filter the blood and control the balance of electrolytes.
⇨ In the UK, a patient will receive a 3D-printed eye prosthesis for the first time. The advantages of this method of prosthetics are that the artificial eye will look more realistic, and its production will take half the time. Thanks to a new use of 3D printing, patients' waiting time for a prosthesis will be reduced, which will undoubtedly improve their quality of life. Moreover, the developers of the technology foreshadow in the future the combination of this method of prosthetics with developments in the field of digital vision.
